DECK - RIGHT HAND SIDE

The pump operator does all his work here. The driver normally assumes the role as pump operator at arrival on a scene. On the deck here are the various valves for water control and outlets for the hoses. Often the tanker is used to supply water to a pumping appliance e.g. Rolleston 42-7. Also the foam containers can be seen here - for mixing foam in with the water providing a much more effective means of firefighting. Cones can be seen here - used for traffic control.
