BBQ FACTORY HEART STOPPER CHALLENGE

Heart Kids Week 2007

Heart Kids are often cooled down in ice prior to heart operations. Heart kids are sometimes blue when born due to complications relating to their heart conditions That’s the inspiration for the Heart Stopper Challenge.

Several Rolleston Fire Brigade Members showed their support for heart children and their families by jumping into a pool of iced water for 5 minutes on Sunday 27 May 2007 at the Tower Junction Centre in Christchurch. 

Heart Stopper Fire Members : Station Officer Kenyon, Senior Fire Fighter Terry Sowerby, Senior Fire Fighter Nigel Lilley, Senior Fire Fighter Matt Ohs, Fire Fighter Bruce Moffat & Fire Fighter Rob Eggers

Monies raised go towards providing essential services to heart children and their families.

The icey cold 5 minute plunge was gratefully followed by 5 minutes in a 40 degrees spa!
